Mr. and Mrs. Brooks

Mr. and Mrs. Brooks - July 22, 2012

Last Sunday Shelby and Luke tied the knot and I had a front row seat! The wedding was especially special to my husband and I because not only are we friends with both the bride and groom, we also had our own wedding reception at the same location. It's a beautiful venue ... mix that with a beautiful bride and we've got ourselves a beautiful wedding!

The girls all got ready at Charles Penzone salon. I'm sure it was fun for Shelby to have everyone there together. :)

After the girls were all done up, we headed over to Valleydale Ballroom, where both the ceremony & reception were held.

Then we went outside for some shots before the ceremony..

My favorite part of the ceremony is when the groom sees his bride for the first time. I always try to capture his expression, and Luke's didn't disappoint. You could tell he was a bit anxious walking out there but as soon as he saw Shelby his expression completely changed.

It's so easy to see how much these two care for one another.

I wish we had a recording of what happened here... I think this is there 3rd time trying to light their unity candle with no success.  Good thing they're such an easy-going couple and could just laugh about it, even after wax was dripping on Shelby's hands. It may not have been the traditional unity candle lighting, but they certainly won't forget it!

Right after the ceremony... showin' off that bling!

It's pretty safe to say that Luke is one lucky guy! Shelby looked gorgeous.

After the ceremony we headed over to a nearby park/college campus to take some shots.

Then it was time for just the two of them...

Last but not least, the Reception. It was definitely a fun one!

Congratulations! It was such a fun day and thank you so much for having us be a part of it!

Jennie and Hung: Engagement Session

This past weekend I had the opportunity to take Jennie and Hung's engagement pictures. What a fun time it was! These two are just perfect for each other and their joy is very contagious. Seriously, try to look at these pictures without smiling. I bet you can't!

We first went to Goodale Park near downtown Columbus. Of course our first stop was the playground.. wouldn't be a complete photo shoot without it!

Oh, that beautiful ring...

Jennie is such a natural in front of the camera. It wasn't hard to make these two look good; they did a perfect job of that on their own!

Our next stop was a quick one at Travonna coffee shop. Hung first asked Jennie to be his girlfriend here so it was really nice of them to let us take some shots inside.

And last but not least, we took a walk down High Street near the Short North. We found some really great spots and of course had a ton of fun!

They just couldn't keep their hands off each other... but I was okay with that. :)

Thanks again for such a fun shoot!
